The article shows the revival of medical societies and medical chambers after the end of hostilities and in the early period of rebirth of the medical self-government. The state of the PRL politicizes the social scientific movement and takes control over the medical self-government and medical chambers in Poland. The PAN is established, which takes over the organization of science in Poland and introduces the organization of science similar to the model in the USSR. The centers of the medical selfgovernment operating until 1939 are liquidated. By order of the Minister of Health of December 21, 1946, 8 medical chambers are established. On July 20, 1948, the Supreme Medical Chamber came up with the concept of liquidation of the medical selfgovernment. A Trade Union of Healthcare Workers subordinate to the State is established. On July 18, 1950, the diet passed a resolution to abolish the activities of medical and dental chambers. The state model of public health care, social and health care is introduced, depending on the PRL.
