Epidemic disease in humans cause two types of influenza A and B. Influenza viruses cause disease in people of all ages, but the highest incidence is among children, deaths and serious complications occur mainly in people at high risk, regardless of age. In Poland, the peak in the epidemic season of cases and suspected cases of influenza and influenza-like illness usually recorded between January and March. Laboratory diagnosis of influenza infection is an important public health tool, due to the effects that cause the flu. As a result, not only may a multi-organ complications but also fatal. There are a number of diagnostic methods from virus isolation by various types of methods of molecular biology. The most effective strategy to combat seasonal flu each flu vaccination. For many years, there are also anti-influenza drugs.
