According to WHO data about one-third of human population is infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. During whole life about 10% infected people will develop active tuberculosis. Based on comparative research it can be concluded that the interferon test is more effective than tuberculin test in the diagnosis of latent tuberculosis infection.
